The global green roof market has been growing strongly since 2014, dominated by the North American market followed by Europe and then Asia. France has seen a +16% increase in the green roof market between 2016 and 2021. With 1.6 million m² installed by 2021, worth around 220 million euros, France is one of the world's green roof market pioneers.
In addition, published in the "Journal Officiel" on August 24, 2022, the French Climate and Resilience Act also imposes new regulations on building roofs in commercial zones. From January 1, 2023, commercial buildings over 500 m², office buildings over 1,000 m² and parking lots over 500 m² will be required to install a solar or green roof.
ODISI can also be used in gardens for:
- Landscape designers in the creation of resilient, biodiversity-rich gardens.
- Urban Cool Island are more and more developed. In France, 80% of towns with more than 10,000 inhabitants have developed a strategy to adapt to climate change.
In a climate where temperatures and droughts/floods are becoming increasingly frequent, plants are one of the solutions to be developed.
Existing solutions require the use of separate products, thus reducing ease of use, increasing the implementation time and water consumption. It can be that complicated to implement these solutions that stakeholders end up cancelling the installation of vegetation.
With ODISI, you're assured of easy installation and maintenance, as well as good plant growth and development over the years.
